O.K., you would rather not sleep in a tent, but don't want to miss out on spectacular scenery and magnificent kayaking. Lodge-based trips also provide the flexibility to adjust the route based on prevailing winds. We offer several lodge based tours: four days of sea kayaking along the coast of eastern Lake Superior, a three day weekend fall getaway combining sea kayaks, canoes, and rail along the coast of Lake Superior and the Goulais River, and finally a whale watching trip in the Saguenay St. Lawrence National Marine Park (2011). Trips are suitable to all skill levels, but the pace is relaxed to accommodate the beginner.
Based out of Salzburgerhof Resort at the outer edge of Batchawana Bay on Lake Superior, we paddle the south eastern shore of Lake Superior, including the Pictographs of Lake Superior Provincial Park.
This adventure weekend includes a tour on the Algoma Central Railway, sea kayak instruction, sea kayaking on the Montreal River and coast of eastern Lake Superior, followed by a leisurely paddle on the Goulais River.
Kayak past beluga whales in the Saguenay Fjord, and minke, finback and great blue whales in the Gulf of St. Lawrence. To sea kayak among these leviathans is truly an experience of a lifetime.
